Certification Profile
The GTP Code is a food and feed safety assurance scheme owned by COCERAL, the European association representing the cereals, rice, feedstuffs, oilseeds, olive oil, oils and fats and agro-supply trade.
Safe Food & Feed Supply
The scheme developed by traders for traders, covers collection, storage, trading and transport of cereals, protein crops, oilseeds, and other plant products and their by-products.
The GTP aims at helping food and feed business operators in:
Complying with good hygiene practices relating to operating sites, premises, equipment, transport, waste and staff.
Identifying and controlling potential risks for consumers’ safety and establishing appropriate procedures based on the principles of the HACCP system.
After a successful certification audit, companies get GTP certification for a period of three years, provided that audits are performed annually. DQS CFS offers the GTP certification scheme through a cooperation with a trusted partner.
Benefits for your organization
The GTP certification provides the means to your company to be consistent with legal requirements in relation to food and feed safety as well as the requirements of customers of the food and feed chain.
Obtaining the GTP certification guarantees the assurance that good practices to manage risks are in place in your company. The GTP certificate will provide you with extra business opportunities with GTP companies and other scheme participants worldwide regarded as equivalent by COCERAL, as per Appendix 6 of the GTP Code.
